The Youth in Governance Initiative is a project designed to create partnerships between young people and non-profit organizations. To make these partnerships meaningful, the goal is to involve youth in positions of decision-making, such as on the boards of directors of non-profit organizations. AYEA's part in the Youth in Governance (YIG) Initiative is to identify which organizations in the conservation community are interested in building these meaningful partnerships with youth, and to help these organizations recruit, train, and successfully involve youth representatives.
