Resources
AYEA is a resource for all Alaskan youth in whatever environmental or social action projects you are working on.
We’ve put together the tools and information in this section based on AYEA members’ experiences. Below is a quick overview of what you’ll find in this section of the website. Let us know if there are other resources you’d like to see here, and let us know if these ones are helpful!
Action Tools
Tools for talking to the media, organizing your peers, communicating your opinions to the public, and raising money for your cause. AYEA teens have compiled most of these resources themselves, based on their own experiences. Use them for whatever issue or project you are tackling.
Issues Directory
Directory of issues that AYEA teens have tackled in the past or have identified as important Alaskan issues. Connect to other organizations that are working on your issue, and find some project ideas to get started!
Youth in Governance (YIG)
AYEA is involved in the YIG initiative to involve more teens in boards and commissions across Alaska. If you are a teen interested in volunteering as a board or commission member, check out YIG! If you are a member of a board or commission and want to involve teens, let us know!
Scholarships
Are you a teen or young adult looking for a scholarship? We post local and national scholarship opportunities here. If you know of a cool scholarship that AYEA should add to the list, let us know!
Publications
Find past editions of AYEA’s Newsletter, the Reach Out & Recycle booklet, the Allen Family Foundation Grantee Profile of AYEA, and more!
