As AYEA’s Youth Leadership Coordinator, Claire engages Alaska’s teens and young adults in community organizing and advocacy. She empowers future environmental leaders by facilitating AYEA’s youth summits and the Conservation Internship program with Alaska Conservation Foundation. Claire is committed to environmental advocacy and is ecstatic to work with the next generation of youth leaders and support AYEA’s efforts to advance the conservation movement.
Born and raised outside of Boston, Claire is a New Englander at heart who loves the beautiful fall foliage and genuine maple syrup of the Northeast. Claire graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy and has worked previously with the Student Conservation Association and the National Parks Conservation Association in both Washington, D.C. and Anchorage. Her love of cool climates and itch for outdoor adventure have brought her to this great state, where she does lots of hot yoga, hiking, eating cookies and adventuring to new places.
